About Eagles Nest Resort
Eagles Nest is nestled among the pine and birch on the sandy shore of Lower Cullen Lake, just ½ mile from the Nisswa shopping area. You’ll cross the Paul Bunyan Trail as you pull into our driveway. Your first view will be of our two acre playground with the ‘Hopeful Eagle” golf net, jungle gym, horseshoes, 1/4 basketball court, volleyball net, Frisbee golf, and other play areas, all surrounded by 6 acres of woods with its own nature trail.
As you check in at the office you’ll notice “The Nest” our non-video rec room, snuggled into the woods. Surrounding The Nest, you'll find a quiet area with outdoor chess, a peaceful hammock, the screened fish cleaning house, and our memory garden.
Our 15 cabins, each with their own flowerbeds, sit on the front two acres overlooking the clear waters of Lower Cullen Lake. The three sitting areas with Adirondack chairs and swings offer a place for families to gather as they relax at the lake. The wide sand stairs are a great place to build sand castles or watch a sunset. You’ll find our dock area well planned with a safe enclosed swimming area for even the youngest swimmers.
With the Paul Bunyan Trail right out our front door, you are connected to an abundance of entertainment in downtown Nisswa. Nisswa is known for its "Pretty Good Shopping," dining experiences, Turtle Races and treats.
The Lake
Lower Cullen Lake is the largest of the 1300 acre Cullen chain of lakes. Our beach front is clear, shallow, sandy and perfect for all ages. The kids can catch sunnies right off the docks. At 512 acres, the lake provides the perfect habitat for game and panfish alike and is ideal for family fishing as well as water sports. Try kayaking or paddleboarding or take a canoe down nearby Cullen creek. Unwind in our lakeside hammock or join in the fun at the beach.
Your cabin includes the use of a 14 ft. aluminum fishing boat, oars, and life jackets. If you'd like to bring your boat, the launch is just down the street and docking is available in our well planned harbor.
We also offer 8 hp outboard motors and a 20 ft. pontoon for rent. You may call ahead to reserve or inquire at check-in.
